Sienna Miller reveals why she hated being known as an ‘It woman’ and says she was not too long ago left ‘shaking’ when recalling the early days of her fame

Sienna Miller was one of the sought-after ‘It-girls’ of the 2000s. 

Nonetheless, the actress, 39, doesn’t take that title as a praise, telling Stellar Journal this week that she at all times wished to ‘kick her manner out of that field’. 

‘It was upsetting on the time. I do not even know what [‘It-girl’] means however it does sound reductive. It would not sound good,’ she instructed the publication.

The British star added that she was not too long ago upset by watching documentaries on Britney Spears and Amy Winehouse, and recalling her personal experiences of fame within the early 2000s.  

‘[When I] see footage of photographers chasing and attacking girls in the way in which they did, I begin shaking – it was so intense. 

‘It was an odd time to be an adolescent changing into well-known, on the peak of no matter feeding-frenzy was happening,’ she mentioned.

Elsewhere within the interview, The Layer Cake actress says she has sworn off taking ‘spouse and girlfriend’ roles, and is relieved that the movie business has lastly caught up along with her ‘feminist’ perspective.

‘I believe due to what’s taking place on the earth and this tidal-wave of feminism sweeping via, and Hollywood waking as much as its latent misogyny and the ugly patriarchy being uncovered, persons are scared to stay girls in motion pictures simply to promote tickets. And I believe my realisation coincided with this,’ she mentioned.   

Sienna is presently busy filming new political sequence Anatomy Of A Scandal in London.
