Alabama chosen for US Space Command HQ over San Antonio, reports say


SAN ANTONIO – A number of information shops in Alabama are reporting that Redstone Military Airfield close to Huntsville, Alabama, has been chosen as the location for the U.S. House Command headquarters.

WAFF and Al.com are among the many information shops reporting that Governor Kay Ivey confirmed the information and {that a} formal announcement is coming at 2 p.m.

Port San Antonio had been on the shortlist together with Colorado Springs, Colorado; Kirtland Air Power Base, New Mexico; Offutt Air Power Base, Nebraska; and Patrick Air Power Base, Florida.
