If you use WhatsApp a lot, to the point that it bothers your eyes or you use it in dimly lit places, now the application offers an option for dark mode Whatsapp to make the experience more pleasant with your eyes.
WhatsApp announced on Wednesday that in the coming days it will enable the option of using the application in “dark mode” on iOS and Android operating systems.
“We are very happy to update WhatsApp with the most requested feature by our users everywhere: the dark mode Whatsapp,” the company said in a statement on its official blog.
” It is designed to reduce eye strain in low light environments. And we hope it helps avoid those awkward moments when your phone lights the room,” added the company that belongs to Facebook.
“We hope everyone enjoys the dark mode, which will be launched in the next few days in the latest version of WhatsApp,” he said.

More and more applications and operating system developers agree that screen brightness implies higher battery consumption and can also be harmful to the eyes.
Since the launch of Android 10 and iOS 13 operating systems (the latest versions of each), which have their own dark modes – inverting colors with text and light icons on an almost black background – applications such as Google Chrome, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter also enabled this option.
For users who already have the dark mode activated on their operating systems, the latest version of WhatsApp will simply adapt to the format.
Those who do not have these operating systems can activate the dark mode Whatsapp by entering the “Chats” option in the “Settings” menu of WhatsApp.
