Saudi Arabia has begun considering allowing only those who receive the corona vaccine to perform the Hajj and Umrah.
According to foreign media, the Saudi Deputy Minister of Health has said that a special QR code is issued by the Saudi government to those who receive the corona vaccine.
The Saudi deputy health minister said at a meeting in Abu Dhabi that all countries would issue verification codes to those who received the corona vaccine. On the basis of which Hajj and Umrah will be allowed.
During the panel discussion, Dr. Hani Jokdar, Under Secretary, Public Health, Ministry of Health, Saudi Arabia, said that Saudi Arabia is preparing for Hajj and Umrah this year and that is why Saudi officials want all countries to provide such confirmation. Introduce a code to prove that pilgrims have been vaccinated against corona.
“We urge all countries to introduce a system of verification that allows those who have been vaccinated to enter the country easily and pay for Hajj or Umrah,” he said.
Dr. Hani Jokdar said that Saudi Arabia is providing free Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines to residents and citizens over the age of 16, while Saudi Arabia is currently administering 150,000 doses of Corona vaccine on a daily basis.
He said a special committee had been set up by the Saudi government against Corona, which was working on a strategy to prevent Corona. The committee has held more than 200 meetings with associations working against Corona.
“We may not be able to control the epidemic quickly, but we need to vaccinate everyone to prevent it,” he said.
