Muscovites, who spent large sums on gifts for ladies, can breathe a sigh of relief – more on International Women’s Day in 2020 will not have to be spent. The money will not be needed in the metro, where on March 8, travel for girls will be free, and in the parking lot. You can also get to free ice rinks, concerts, and other events.
The first thing that unexpectedly becomes free on March 8 is a ride on the subway and at the MCC for women. To get to trains without payment, you need to go to one of the turnstiles in the line – it will be open and decorated for International Women’s Day.
And these are not all the surprises for girls in the metro – at the Live Communication information desk from 8.00 in the morning, everyone will be able to receive a gift in the form of a bouquet of flowers and cosmetic patches. In total it is planned to distribute more than 1.5 thousand bouquets.
Good news will not go around those who do not need public transport. For both women and men in honor of the holiday of March 8 and 9, parking in the capital will be free.
On the site of the complex of urban planning policy and construction in Moscow, it is noted that this will not affect traffic congestion, because on weekends, as a rule, the traffic intensity decreases – many leave the city.
An unusual gift will be made for women by the Moscow Zoo. On International Women’s Day, there will be a rally “March 8 in a leopard” – girls in clothes with a leopard print will be allowed into the zoo for free. At the same time, men who follow this dress code will receive a 50% discount on admission (international women’s day).
Be careful: the leopard print should be visible and cover large items of clothing: jackets, coats, shirts, skirts, blouses, t-shirts, hats, gloves and scarves.
In addition, the zoo invites Muscovites to watch at 14.00 feeding the pride of Asian lions, and at 14.30 – the Amur tiger. At 16.00, in front of visitors, a family of lynxes, a puma, a snow leopard, and an Amur leopard will enjoy lunch.
Free entertainment does not end there: all women will be able to go free of charge to the rinks of the Hermitage Garden, Krasnaya Presnya Park and Bauman Garden on March 8th. In the latter, a disco on ice will be held for visitors – it will begin at 14.00.
At VDNH, residents and guests of the capital will be able to attend free concerts, lectures, masterclasses, and excursions. So, in the park “Russia – my story”, a spring festival will be held from March 7 to 9 – those who wish can make hats for themselves, take part in a fashion show, and also watch a festive performance (international women’s day).
From the 7th to the 9th of March, coaches will conduct free training at the Technograd complex located at VDNKh on how to promote a personal brand on Instagram and create video reports.
Also, visitors to the complex will be able to learn acting, but all these events must be registered in advance.
Worker and Collective Farm Girl (international women’s day)
Of course, VDNH is associated with the monument “Worker and Collective Farm Girl” for many Muscovites, and the organizers of the event invite everyone to come on a free tour on March 8 at 12:00 to learn everything about the author of the sculpture Vera Mukhina, the girls from the Friendship of Peoples fountain and other female images related to the exhibition complex.
For those who are fed up with gaining knowledge on weekdays, VDNH offers March 8 at 19.00 to come to the concert of the singer Adeline Moiseeva – participant of the fifth season of the project “Voice”.
If the artist or any other girl, the men want to give flowers, then from March 6 to March 8 at VDNH they can buy plants grown in the greenhouses of the botanical garden especially for International Women’s Day.
Those who prefer VDNH Gorky Park will also not have to be sad on March 8th. A lot of excursions will be held for them on the day of the holiday – in particular, “I love you, my old park!”, “Alleys of love”, “Women’s duels, balls and entertainment for the inhabitants of a boring garden.” Also, at 13:00, all the curious are waiting for the quest “Cherchez la femme” (“Look for a woman” from French – “Gazeta.Ru”).
Flowers for Beloved (international women’s day)
In addition, at 12.00 a sports marathon for men under the name “Flowers for Beloved” will start on the park’s embankment – at the finish line, all participants will be presented with bouquets of flowers that they will then give to their ladies.
Sokolniki Park calls on music lovers – on March 8, from 17.00 to 19.00 there will be a concert, during which creative groups will sing and play instruments. At the same time, those who wish can take a couple of pictures in a beautifully designed photo zone, the park administration promises Muscovites.
