
A fire at a hospital in the Indian state of Maharashtra has killed 10 newborns.
According to a foreign news agency, the fire broke out at the District General Hospital in Bhandara district between Friday and Saturday night in which 10 newborns were burnt to death.
Only 7 of the 17 newborns were rescued after a fire broke out in the nurse’s ward on duty.
According to initial reports, the fire broke out in the hospital due to a short circuit, however, it was brought under control with the help of hospital officials and fire brigade teams.
