The Saudi government has decided to open the Harmain High Speed ​​Railway.

According to international media, the Harmain High Speed ​​Railway service between Makkah and Madinah will resume from March 31. Bookings and tickets will be issued from today for those wishing to travel by train.

Ryan al-Harbi, deputy director of the Harmain High Speed ​​Railway, said in a statement that Umrah pilgrims would be able to book tickets online on the railway’s website.

According to sources, the train from Makkah to Madinah will run at a speed of 300 km per hour.

Ryan al-Harbi says that in addition to ensuring the preparation of this year’s Hajj season, he has also made complete security arrangements for those performing Umrah.

He said that the Harmain High Speed ​​Train, which was closed during the Corona Outbreak, was passed through the stations through regular experimental trips and the skills of the workers in the trains were also maintained.
