The UN chief called the India-Pakistan LOCS fire agreement a “positive step” and hoped for further talks.
UN General Assembly President Vulcan Bozkir has welcomed the agreement.
He said the agreement sets an example for others and reflects the values of the General Assembly.
Earlier, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres welcomed the agreement between Indian and Pakistani militants to observe a ceasefire on the Line of Control in the disputed Kashmir region as a “positive step” and hoped that This will pave the way for further dialogue between the two countries.
