Vince Young returns to Texas as special assistant to AD

AUSTIN, Texas – Texas has re-hired former Longhorns quarterback Vince Younger as a particular assistant within the athletic division, bringing the Faculty Soccer Corridor of Famer again to this system after he was fired in 2019.

He returns as this system is attempting to construct momentum behind new head coach Steve Sarkisian.

Younger led the Longhorns to the 2005 season nationwide championship with a last-minute landing towards USC. Sarkisian was an assistant on that Trojans crew.

After Younger’s NFL profession ended and he filed for chapter, he returned to Texas in a full-time, $100,000-a-year job as a profession improvement officer within the college’s Division of Variety and Group Engagement. The job later turned part-time and Younger was finally dismissed for poor efficiency and infrequently being absent from work or not in contact together with his supervisors.

Phrases of Younger’s job and wage within the athletic division weren’t instantly disclosed. Athletic director Chris Del Conte didn’t instantly reply to a message searching for remark.
